Nationally renowned study guide company Pocket Pimped released their guide for Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows doing rotations in Podiatric Surgery and Dr. Thomas was invited to be the primary author for this text. These texts are used in hospitals and classrooms throughout the United States and even Internationally.
In physician training 'pimping' is paramount to learning under pressure. It's defined as 'asking questions to assess one's knowledge of the topic at hand.' More commonly 'pimping' is described as education by humiliation in which physicians in training are called up in front of the group and questioned to see what they know and what they don't know.

In 2010 after completing his Clerkship/Externship Rotations and Residency Interviews Dr. Thomas authored a detailed 109 page pocket guide for students. The guide is designed to aide students who are prospective candidates for a Podiatric Surgical Residency program.
This reference has been used by students in preparation for and during "audition" month rotations and interviews while trying to earn surgical residency positions throughout the country, and continues to be used during Residency training. This resource has been passed down to Barry University students. Dr. Thomas has a limited number of copies of this book remaining and would like to give them away to prospective students who would like a copy.
